The Potomac Institute's International Center for Terrorism Studies held a discussion on November 20, 2017 with the Spanish Ambassador Pedro Morenés entitled, "Spanish-U.S. Strategic Partnership." Spain’s role as a member of the UN, EU, and NATO as well as its strategic partnership with the U.S. has significant security implications regionally and globally. 

Ambassador Pedro Morenés, a former Minister of Defense, discussed the nature of these relationships and their future outlook. Professor Yonah Alexander, Director of Inter-University Center for Terrorism Studies and Senior Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies, moderated the discussion and closing remarks were given by General Alfred Gray, USMC (Ret.), Twenty-Ninth Commandant of the United States Marine Corps as well as Senior Fellow and Chairman of the Board of Regents at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.
