Potomac Institute for Policy Studies Senior Fellow RADM Edward Masso, USN (Ret.) says a reported cyberattack against RSA, the manufacturer of the SecurID system used by several federal government agencies, is a wake-up call for the government and employees. He commented on the breach to the technology news website NextGov, saying such an attack "affects all critical infrastructures and consumer confidence." SecurID is currently used by the Pentagon, the Transportation Security Administration, the State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Census Bureau, among other agencies.
