Potomac Institute for Policy Studies Chairman and CEO Michael Swetnam is an intelligence and national security expert and a co-author of Usama bin Laden's al-Qaida: Profile of a Terrorist Network.  He is currently a member of the Technical Advisory Group supporting the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. In comments to the Scripps Howard wire service, he noted that while the new national terror alert system reflected no uptick in risk immediately after Osama bin Laden's death, the threat could increase in the coming months.
