Potomac Institute for Policy Studies Chairman and CEO Michael Swetnam is an intelligence and national security expert. In a recent segment on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, he offered analysis of President Obama's choice of CIA Director Leon Panetta to assume the Secretary of Defense position, as well as the selection of Gen. David Petraeus to take Panetta's former job at the CIA. Swetnam says Panetta is a seasoned manager who may ultimately preside over significant cost-cutting efforts at the Pentagon.
